Privacy Policy

Aveil may process the account details you provide to sign in, including your email address and authentication identifiers.

If you choose to connect supported health data sources, Aveil may process health, activity, sleep, nutrition, recovery, and related profile data needed to generate summaries, signals, patterns, recommendations, and related exports inside the product.

Aveil may also process support messages, device or app diagnostics needed to troubleshoot issues, and basic service logs required to keep the product running safely.

Aveil collects app usage and install-source information through analytics providers, including PostHog and AppsFlyer. This includes app interactions and, when available, campaign information such as Apple ad campaign identifiers.

App usage and install-source analytics can be linked to your Aveil account using your account identifier. Events first recorded under an anonymous identifier, including events before sign-up, may be linked to your account when you sign in. Raw health values and sensitive text are not included in these app usage and install-source events.

During account setup, Aveil may collect masked session-level interaction recordings to diagnose setup problems. Sensitive inputs and personalized health content are masked, and recordings are not used for advertising.

When Aveil sends you a weekly recap or product update email, our email provider records whether it was opened. For product update emails, it also records which links you click.

To operate the app, authenticate your account, sync supported data, and generate health summaries, insights, and recommendations inside Aveil.

To improve reliability, investigate bugs, respond to support requests, and protect the service from abuse or unauthorized access.

To understand how people use Aveil and measure which install sources and campaigns bring people to the app.

To send your weekly recap email, which summarizes your own data such as average sleep and steps, and occasional emails about changes to Aveil. You can turn off the weekly recap in the app's Notifications settings, or use the unsubscribe link in any of these emails.

To communicate with you about support, security, account issues, or product access when needed.

Aveil does not sell your personal data.

Aveil may use infrastructure and service providers that process data on Aveil's behalf for hosting, authentication, storage, analytics, support, and delivery of core product features.

Aveil may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce terms, or respond to security incidents.

Aveil keeps data for as long as it is needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

You can request account deletion inside the app or through the account deletion instructions at https://aveilx.com/account-deletion. Account deletion removes your account and its linked records from Aveil's active app database.

Analytics deletion is handled separately and can require additional processing or support. Some provider data cannot yet be matched to an account for automatic deletion. Contact support@aveilx.com to request deletion of that data.

We keep a limited deletion record to finish requests and prevent deleted data from being restored by stale app requests. Backups, service logs, and email delivery history are not removed by this process. Deleting Aveil does not delete original records in Apple Health or Health Connect.

If the law requires us to retain specific records, we keep those records for the required period.

You can choose whether to connect supported health data sources and what data you share through supported platform permissions.

You can turn off 'Share app analytics' in the app's Privacy settings. This stops new app usage and install-source analytics collection from that app installation, including setup recordings. The app may send the opt-out choice before stopping. This setting does not stop service operations such as health sync or security logs, and does not delete analytics already collected. Aveil's servers still record a few account events in PostHog, such as when a weekly recap email is sent or opened and when you respond to a suggested action.
